	Comments	Sumara is a pony-sized version of a fine TB hunter/jumper. She has the silky coat, “jumper build,” and elegant neck characteristic of many top performance horses. If there was any question that the Caspian is a true “hot-blooded” breed, one need look no further than Sumara to see all the expected features. Sumara gave us the wonderful colt Azad Surin (“Ed”) in 2008, and we are expecting more great foals from this mare.

	Comments	Lady is our most petite mare, with a cute face and mannerisms to match. She will “heel” at your elbow when food is being distributed. Despite her small frame, she has ground-covering gaits. In addition to her excellent conformation, Lady is a tolerant and attentive mom.

	Comments	Obsidian has a beautiful, refined head and the rare black coat color. Despite her relatively petite frame, she has great breadth over the loins, signifying excellent weight-carrying capacity. Obsidian has an “in-your-pocket” personality and is always among the first to approach people out at pasture.

	Comments	Frazar came to us as a wide-eyed, gangly 2 year old. She has matured into a nicely-proportioned mare with a muscular build. She is one of our more reserved mares but remains very curious and adaptable. Frazar’s dam is a full sister to our handsome stallion, Marida Dadan .

	Comments	Jaahana is very friendly and people-oriented, like her sire Eastern Jehani (also at Maefield Farm). She loves to run and is very often the instigator of a pasture runaround session by the mares. Jaahana has graceful, smooth gaits. Her conformation is well-balanced.

	Comments	Sea has very correct, well-balanced conformation. She has a refined head with large expressive eyes that she has passed to her daughter, Louise. Although she’s keeping busy as a broodmare at present, with her athletic ability and conformation, Sea could easily become a top-performer in the “small pony” category.

	Comments	Phillee is extremely agile and can turn on a dime. Her stride is long and graceful. She has a handsome profile. Phillee sometimes takes a skeptical view of new things, but that seems to be part of her “job” as alpha mare. She is very smart and adapts quickly to her surroundings. Phillee was an excellent mom to her beautiful 2008 filly, Tishtar, and we are expecting more great Caspian progeny from her.
